Rural Entrepreneurship and Connectivity Program (RECP)

The Rural Entrepreneurship & Connectivity Program (RECP) is a comprehensive initiative designed to address youth unemployment and to connect the unconnected, particularly in underserved rural communities in the Upper West Region of Ghana. RECP integrates two key components: Rural Entrepreneurship and Connecting the Unconnected.

Rural Entrepreneurship

Training and mentorship programs to support young entrepreneurs in rural areas. This project is to addresses the pressing issue of youth unemployment in the upper west region of Ghana, specifically focusing on underserved rural communities. The project empowers young people with essential soft skills, and provide them with opportunities to thrive in the contemporary job market. By leveraging technology and education, this project equips the youth with the tools necessary for employment, thereby contributing to local economic development and mitigating the associated social challenges.

Connecting The Unconnected

In some rural communities where internet access is limited, television and radios serve as vital lifelines to the outside world in these areas, TARD Ghana trains unemployed individuals in rural areas in TV satellite installation. By equipping them with the skills to install and maintain satellite dishes, this not only connects the unconnected but also creates job opportunities and promotes entrepreneurship. Through this initiative, participants earn a livelihood while serving their communities, fostering economic growth, and addressing youth unemployment.
